You can now follow our goings on here: Tusks_4ever. Hilarity will ensue.

Hello: As you are well aware, we recently recorded a song with Dave MacKinnon of Fembots fame for the second Friends In Bellwoods compilation. This special affair is lead by cuddle-stars Ohbijou and Out of this Spark Records and is designed to raise funds for Toronto’s Daily Bread Food Bank. The first incarnation of this compilation/ project (which we contributed an old version of Mothers vs. Sons for) raised almost $12,000.

Once again we’ve contributed a track (which you can hear here) and we’ll be playing an all-day BBQ at the Tranzac along with too many bands to mention here. View the Facenuts page for the event here. We’ve been hard at work at new stuff and may be showing it off then.

Till then, hold yourselves! It is undignified that you shake like that.

No news for now

10 Feb 2009

Well hello. Thanks to all for coming out to our recent shows in Toronto in Montreal. It was quite a thing to play in front of such good crowds. It had seemed a good time was had by most, but apparently this is not the case. Zing!

The lesson here is that you cannot win all the time. We are grown men, and have thought much in terms our own feelings about the subject known as “ourselves.”

We have done some dabbling with some recording with Dave MacKinnon of Fembots . If all goes, we will be appearing on the Friends in Bellwoods compilation.

We are also looking forward to a European release of our EP sometime in the fall of next year. More details to come about touring plans. Please contact if you have any ideas.

Humans:

Happy new year to you all. Some news: We have some shows coming up next week in Toronto and Montreal with the fine folks in Fembots, the Harbourcoats, and Great Bloomers.

We are also going to start recording again sometime soon. We have no plans as to what’s going to happen, but we’ll just wait and see, OK?

Show details for Toronto are below:

Shows coming up

02 Dec 2008

Dear friends:

Some news. We are playing this weekend with the fine Jim Bryson Band at the Black Sheep Inn.

Sorry we told you so late, but it’s sold out. Hope you could have made it.

Also! Dec. 12 marks our Holiday show in the cozy confines if of the Tranzac Southern Cross Lounge, with the most excellent Major Grange.

In addition, our EP has been steadily climbing on the CBC Radio 3 Podcast. We’re not sure what that means, but we thought you should know.

Congratulations to all the babies in the world! Way to be born!

Here and here in Exclaim.  Also:  Eye Weekly.

Thanks to all who came out to our shows a few weeks back, and special thanks to Poorfolk/ Sarah Hallman/ Mandibles/ Steven McKay band for sharing the stage and to Revolution Rock, Vish Khanna-Kazoo/ and the Tranzac club for playing host. Good times were had.

We’re happy to announce that the physical copy of the EP is now officially in stores and up on Zunior digital music store. If you are going to buy digital, we strongly encourage you to support Canadian retailers.

We’re not playing shows for the next little while, as Shaw-han embarks upon a tour of Japan with his I am robot and proud project. We’ll let you know if/ when things happen. If you’ve been here before, you’ll know that we have no fucking plan whatsoever.
